Privacy Policy

Fragile (“the app”) respects the people who write in it. This page explains what information the app handles and what it does not. In one line: the developer does not collect your memos or personal information.

What we don’t collect

The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking. It uses no analytics or advertising SDKs, and it never sends your memos, photos or usage data to the developer’s servers.

What is stored on your device

Your memos, bookmarks, attached images, tags and settings are stored on your device.
The Home Screen widgets and the Share extension exchange data with the app on the same device; the data does not leave it.
Expiry reminders are local notifications scheduled by your device.

iCloud sync (optional)

If you turn on iCloud sync (a Pro feature), your memos sync between your devices through your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). That data belongs to your Apple account and the developer cannot access it. Apple’s privacy policy applies to how it is processed.

When the app connects to the internet

When you save a link as a bookmark, your device contacts that website to fetch its title, description, preview image and icon. The request goes directly from your device to that site, not through the developer.
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store. The developer does not receive your payment details and checks purchase status only through Apple’s StoreKit.

Device features

Face ID / Touch ID: used only for the app lock; biometric data never leaves your device.
Photos and camera: access is requested only when you add or save images in a memo.
Microphone and speech recognition: microphone access is requested when you record a voice memo. Turning recordings into text happens on your device; recordings and text are never sent out.
Summaries and translations: on devices that support Apple Intelligence these run on the device and your content is not sent elsewhere.

Children

Because the app collects no personal information, it collects none from children either.

If anything changes, we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will also be noted in app update notes.
